Will I peel?

What is anti-wrinkle treatment?
Anti-wrinkle treatment is carried out with a small number of injections and is commonly referred to as ‘Botox’ (short for Botulinum toxin). This is a substance made from bacteria that causes the muscles of the face to relax, which softens and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.
Types of anti-wrinkle treatment.
We offer the following types of anti-wrinkle treatment using Botulinum toxin:
Axillary Hyperhydrosis
Nefertiti Neck Lift
FAQs
Who should have anti-wrinkle injections?
The treatment can be useful to anyone who wishes to reduce the appearance of forehead lines, frown lines, or wrinkles around their eyes.
What will the treatment involve?
Jacy or Fay will make a series of small injections into the muscles in your face. This takes only a few minutes.
Does it hurt?
The procedure is largely pain-free, although some experience a mild discomfort due to the small needle injection.
Are anti-wrinkle injections safe?
Botulinum neurotoxin type A has been in medical use for more than four decades, and it is administered in such a way that it only affects your muscles and sweat glands. It does not reach any other part of the body. As long as it is administered by a qualified and trained professional, the risks are minimal. You may notice some soreness and swelling in the injection site directly after the treatment, but this should subside quickly.
What happens after treatment?
You can carry on with your day as normal, although we advise that you avoid strenuous activity, saunas and alcohol for up to 24 hours. After 4-10 days you should notice an improvement in the appearance of lines and wrinkles and the result should last approximately 3-4 months.
What areas can benefit from anti-wrinkle injections?
Most wrinkles are formed at 45 degrees from the muscle contraction. Where this occurs, anti-wrinkle treatment will work well.
How long do the results of an anti-wrinkle injection last?
The results usually last for around three months, after which you may wish to return for another treatment.
Is ‘Botox’ the only option for people who want to reduce the appearance of their wrinkles?
Not at all, there are various options. It may be that dermal fillers or facial peels are possible alternatives for you. Jacy or Fay can discuss this with you.
What are the possible side effects?
Most side effects are short-lived and mild, the most common being mild bruising to the site of the injection. Some patients also report mild headaches shortly after the treatment, but these usually subside within 24 hours.
How much does it cost?
Anti-Wrinkle Treatment (Bocouture/Azzalure/BotoxT)
One area eg forehead or crows feet – £180 (Each additional area £60)
Nefertiti neck lift – £450
Jaw slimming – £400
Axillary Hyperhydrosis (excess sweating underarm) – £500

Axillary Hyperhidrosis
Reduce the signs of overactive and excessive sweating
Have you ever suffered from embarrassing sweaty underarms at the worst possible moment? Do you struggle to get through a day in the summer without changing your shirt? We have a wonderful treatment to make these problems disappear for up to six months.
Hyperhidrosis – what is it and why does it occur?
It’s normal to sweat if you exercise or get hot, but sweating is excessive (hyperhidrosis) when the body doesn’t need to cool down.
Hyperhidrosis is a long-term condition that can occur for no obvious reason, due to another condition, or as a side effect of medication. This common condition can affect the whole body, but especially areas such as your armpits, hands, feet, face, chest and groin.
Can hyperhidrosis be cured?
There is no surefire cure for hyperhidrosis, but it is possible to manage the symptoms of the condition.
Loose-fitting, white or black clothes can minimise the signs of sweating. Socks can help to absorb moisture and wearing sports shoes while avoiding enclosed boots can help too. Avoiding the consumption of alcohol or spicy food can also help minimise symptoms.
Can excessive sweating be treated?
If your hyperhidrosis is affecting your confidence, you may wish to pursue treatment. Our resident expert clinician Jacy can help you make this decision with a consultation. If she thinks treatment will help, we can carry out the procedure in our state-of-the-art clinic.
Hyperhidrosis treatment methods
Usually, your nervous system activates your sweat glands when your body temperature rises, and this is how your body cools itself. In people with hyperhidrosis the nerves that signal the sweat glands are overactive, causing excessive, unnecessary sweating.
We use botulinum neurotoxin type A (Botox) to block the nerves responsible for activating your sweat glands. The procedure is extremely safe when performed correctly by a medically qualified practitioner.
As Jacy explains, “the dose used is very low, and the Botox is rapidly taken up into the nerve endings after injection so there is no spread to other areas.”
Contraindications for treatment
Some groups of people may not be good candidates for this treatment. These include those:
- who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- diagnosed with or who have a family history of certain health conditions like myasthenia gravis or Eaton-Lambert syndrome
- with an infection
- taking any medications or drugs that aren’t compatible
- with botulinum toxin
- with certain psychological conditions
Cost of treatment
The treatment costs £500 and usually lasts four months. This is patient-by-patient dependent and can last as long as six to nine months.

Nefertiti
neck lift
Minimising the signs of ageing
A Nefertiti neck lift is a cosmetic procedure performed with botulinum toxin injections in the lower part of your face, jaw, and neck, designed to reduce the signs of ageing in those areas.
The procedure’s name refers to the ancient Egyptian queen Nefertiti, known for her elongated, thin neck. The Nefertiti lift targets the platysma band of muscles that run vertically from the bottom of the face to your collarbone.
How does it work?
Using targeted injections of botulinum toxin into specific parts of this muscle band the Nefertiti neck lift works to:
lessen lines around the bottom part of the face
smooth dimpled skin on the chin
erase or reduce folds or sagging in the lower part of the face
even out the symmetry of the lower face, jaw, and neck
remove lines on the neck
create a more pronounced definition of the jaw
Is a Nefertiti lift effective?
A Nefertiti lift is a temporary way to restore a youthful look without surgery. Several studies show the Nefertiti lift to be an effective, minimally invasive alternative for those wanting to push back or forgo more invasive cosmetic surgery.
Keep in mind that this procedure doesn’t fix signs of ageing permanently. The results of a Nefertiti lift last a few months to half a year.
Who’s a good candidate for a Nefertiti lift?
Anyone unhappy with signs of ageing around the neck can be a candidate for the procedure. Some groups of people are advised against having the Nefertiti lift. These include those:
who are pregnant or breastfeeding
diagnosed with or who have a family history of certain health conditions like myasthenia gravis or Eaton-Lambert syndrome
with an infection
taking any medications or drugs that aren’t compatible with botulinum toxin
with certain psychological conditions
What’s the procedure like?
A Nefertiti lift involves:
a consultation to discuss your treatment goals
an examination to evaluate your physical health, your family history, and the requirements of the procedure
an outpatient session of 15 minutes or more in which we use a small needle to inject botulinum toxin into the muscle band along your lower face, jaw, and neck, about a half-inch apart. Depending on your evaluation, you may need more injections on one side to create symmetry.
What’s the recovery like?
This procedure involves very little recovery. You can leave your appointment and resume daily activities with no downtime. You may need more than one procedure to achieve your desired results.
Are there side effects or precautions to be aware of?
There are some side effects of the Nefertiti lift, similar to other cosmetic procedures involving botulinum toxin. These include:
bruising or redness at the injection site
difficulty swallowing
weakness in your neck
flu-like symptoms
headache
All of these are temporary. Please don’t hesitate to ask us about these during your consultation.

Dermal
Fillers
Bringing back that healthy glow
The dermal fillers we use at the practice are made of hyaluronic acid (HA) – a naturally occurring molecule in the body that we lose with age – and are cross-linked with other molecules to add volume where needed.
Hyaluronic acid can carry 10,000 times its weight in water and gives the skin its healthy glow in youth. HA is also the preferred filler type for its more natural look and ability to dissolve over time or with the help of your dermis.
Types of dermal filler treatment
You can choose from the following types of dermal filler treatment:
- Cheek Augmentation
- Lip Augmentation
- Under-eye Rejuvenation

Cheek Augmentation
Bringing back your facial volume
Loss of volume around the mid-face is a tell-tale sign of ageing and is important to address when considering anti-ageing treatments. With dermal fillers, we can replace the lost volume in the mid-face to replenish the skin condition and restore a youthful appearance.
What is the mid-face?
The mid-face is defined as the area under the eyes and above the mouth and includes all bony and soft-tissue compartments within that space. There are several fat components in this area that are either superficial or deep to the skin. These deep fat compartments are a major determining factor in the overall outer structure and appearance of the face.
Ageing in this area usually results in the cheeks falling closer to the mouth and nose. As a result, a patient’s smile lines become deeper and more permanent and the transition between the mid-face and lower face is more noticeable. This is often described as a ‘falling’ face.
After a full consultation with our expert clinicians, Jacy or Fay will assess if the mid-face volume needs replenishing to achieve the most natural and youthful result.
How long does it last?
The product used for cheek augmentation tends to last a little longer ranging from nine months to two years. The range is wide and variable because this depends on many factors including a patient’s metabolism and the amount used.
What is the cost of cheek augmentation?
Prices start from £400 for one syringe of dermal filler, with each additional syringe £275.

Lip Augmentation
Bring back your beautiful fuller lips
Lip filler injections are common and render beautiful results when carried out by an experienced, medically qualified practitioner.
We use HA products to achieve the desired result after a thorough consultation. This can sometimes take more than one sitting.
How much does it cost?
Prices start at £300 for 1ml of product and £180 for an additional 1ml.
How long does it last?
This depends on how much is administered, a patient’s metabolism, the desired plumpness, and the product used. Patients can expect the treatment to last from six to nine months on average.
How many syringes will be needed?
This depends on the desired outcome but gradual plumping is the best practice. As our resident expert clinician Jacy explains: “Two syringes is too much for most people in one sitting, especially as we’re going for a natural appearance.”

Under-eye Rejuvenation
A long-lasting, natural treatment
Are you tired of panda eyes? Looking tired even when you don’t feel it? We can help you.
There is a non-invasive treatment available that addresses the eye circles and the delicate tissue in this area. For a long-lasting, natural treatment for eye circles, Teosyal PureSence Redensity II has been created as a three-in-one sophisticated combination.
Teosyal Redensity II is the first dermal filler of its kind that has been developed specifically for the tear trough area to address fine lines, dark circles, and deep hollows under the eyes. It is infused with amino acids, antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins, so after the treatment it continues to rejuvenate the skin over time for maximum long-term results.
Redensity II has the innate ability to dissipate the shadows that cause dark eye circles and gently fortify the fine skin below the eye. It can substantially enhance one’s appearance and, in most cases, provide beautiful, natural results.
Who is an ideal candidate?
People with medium laxity under the eyes, yet not too much excessive loose skin
Men and women in their late thirties with medium to darker skin tones
People whose tear trough has lost volume, whose palpebromalar “groove” has become visible, or who have developed some minor palpebral or malar eye “bags”, fine lines, or dark circles under their eyes
As with any cosmetic or surgical procedure, you should avoid any treatments if you think you are or might be pregnant and/or breastfeeding
What’s in it?
Hyaluronic acid and eight amino acids, three antioxidants, vitamin B6 and lidocaine to minimise discomfort. The amino acids, vitamins, and minerals are necessary for restructuring and cell generation, and the antioxidants are used for cell protection while the hyaluronic acid replaces lost volume and improves skin hydration.
Our expert clinician Jacy has advanced training and knowledge with the treatment. “Usually we address mid-face volume loss before treatment of the under-eyes,” she explains. “The two areas go hand-in-hand and we don’t touch the under-eye area without a full assessment of the mid-face to avoid an unnatural result”.
Most injectable fillers require a touch-up after the product has settled into the face, usually at around two to three weeks post-treatment. Jacy will take this opportunity to address any improvements that can be made to the eye area.
How long does it last?
Clinical trials show that Redensity II results can last anywhere from six to 12 months. The treatment itself takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete.
How much does it cost?
A 1ml syringe costs £400.
We never administer more than 1ml in one sitting but you may need more product to achieve the result required. This is done over numerous appointments. Additional syringes within the same treatment plan cost £250.
Don’t forget to factor in mid-face treatment. We do a package for under-eye and mid-face treatment, for which Jacy give you more information at your free consultation.

Skin
Boosters
Re-moisturise and rejuvenate
inside and out
Injectable moisture treatments and dermal fillers are both made of hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a natural component of human skin. HA is a water-binding molecule that can hold 10,000 times its weight in water. As we get older, our bodies produce less and less of it. The aim of skin boosters, or ‘cocktails for the skin’, is to replenish lost stores of HA and therefore re-moisturise and rejuvenate the skin from the outside in.
Redensity 1
Teoxane Redensity 1 has pure hyaluronic acid but has the added benefit of three antioxidants, eight amino acids, two minerals and a vitamin. It repairs the skin while hydrating it and will prevent premature ageing of the skin. Fabulous if you are wanting to improve skin health, hydration, skin protection and get a ‘wow’ glow.
Profhilo®
Profhilo is pure hyaluronic acid in high quantities and will bio-remodel collagen and elastin while hydrating the skin. It’s ‘anti-ageing’ on multiple levels, but it is predominantly used for the lower face. It will not help hydrate skin on the forehead where people can find frown lines problematic.
How much does it cost?
Redensity 1:
Three sessions of 1ml £575
Three sessions of 3ml £825
(Please note a minimum of three treatments spaced no more than two weeks apart will be required for new patients. Returning patients may require an additional treatment every 4-6 months.)
Profhilo®
First treatment – £325
Second treatment – £325
Maintenance treatments (recommended every 4-6 months) – £325
(Please note, a minimum of two treatments four weeks apart will be required for new patients to Profhilo, then a single maintenance treatment every 4-6 months. If you have more significant skin concerns the doctor may recommend a different treatment plan after consultation.)
Prices are per 2ml syringe for Profhilo.
Aftercare
Avoid strenuous exercise or excessive sun exposure, for at least 48 hours post-treatment or until any swelling subsides. Avoid make-up for 24 hours for injected areas. If you must use make-up, please apply the iConceal or Oxygenetix medical foundation to encourage the healing process.
Avoid firm rubbing of the treated area for five days. Avoid aspirin, St John’s Wort or Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatories eg Ibuprofen, for a few days post-treatment. If you require such medication for medical reasons, please check with your doctor before stopping.
